At Lalela we offer self-catering accommodation in the thatch house and caravan. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for availability and bookings.
There is a natural swimming pool onsite, and a short walk to the river brings you down to rock pools, which are swimmable in summer. Follow one of our hiking trails to explore the river, ridge and forests or wander off uphill to enjoy the sunrise. There are also plenty of chill spaces around – hammocks, daybeds/futons on the verandas, and trees. Visit our Gallery page for more photos.
The Thatch House: The thatch house is a 3 bedroom house, which can accommodate up to 6 sharing, with a kitchen and cosy lounge corner with a fireplace. It includes a practice space – for meditation, dance, yoga, exercise – and a front veranda with a day bed/couch that looks out onto a natural pool that you can swim in. It also has an outdoor bath, hammock and braai area. The thatch house is perfect for self-retreats.
The thatch house is R400 per person per night, though there is a minimum charge of R800 a night, even if you’re 1 person. We ask for 2 nights stay minimum and offer discounts for stays more than 3 nights.
The Caravan: The caravan is surrounded by indigenous trees. It has a fridge and plug point on the veranda and an outdoor kitchen with a gas stove and sink. There is a warm outdoor gas shower and an outdoor toilet. The doublebed comfortably sleeps 2 people and the seating area can be converted into a single bed. The caravan also has a hammock and fire pit next to it. Ideal for anyone who is looking to unplug and immerse themselves in nature.
The caravan is R375 a night for person; or R500 a night for 2 or more people. We ask for 2 nights stay minimum and offer discounts for stays more than 3 nights.
